Google’s Own SEO Starter Guide

Yes, you read that correctly. Google has released a 22 page PDF ‘Search Engine Optimization Starter Guide‘ from its search quality team to help answer those “I’m new to SEO, how do I improve my site?” questions. It is basic, but solid stuff and is very consistent with our 50 Ways to Make Google Love Your Web Site ebook. Google’s release of an official ‘SEO’ publication also vindicates our long held assertion that good SEO does Google a favour, by improving its understanding of the content it crawls, that it then tries to make useful to its visitors.
